Owner
Hey there! I’m Ivan Rivas, the owner of Rivas Technology Group. Think of us as your friendly neighborhood experts in all things tech, from smart homes to professional A/V and beyond. My passion lies in crafting seamlessly integrated systems that not only work beautifully but also enhance the aesthetics of your space.
My journey in the tech world started way back, where I dove headfirst into installing hybrid PBX systems. I quickly climbed the ranks to become a master technician while also earning my degree in Information Systems Technology. Since then, I’ve been on a constant quest for knowledge, racking up certifications in just about every tech discipline imaginable – professional A/V, lighting design, smart home wizardry, you name it! You’ll often find me traveling the country, soaking up the latest insights at training seminars and business summits.
On the personal side, I’m incredibly lucky to be married to my amazing wife, Elena. Our three wonderful children, Natalia (7), Sofia (4), and our little guy Roman (1), are the center of our world. Honestly, my favorite pastime, and I truly mean this, is simply spending quality time with them.
While I may have roots in Queens, New York, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing life in various corners of the country. When I manage to sneak away from work and family (and my wife’s watchful eye!), you’ll likely find me blasting music in the garage – my designated “loud zone” – or indulging my inner speed demon on my racing simulator. I’m a bit of a gearhead, and if you were to press me, I’d have to say my dream cars are a classic 1967 Pontiac GTO and a modern 2017 Dodge Viper.

Nick Rhodes
Systems Integrator
Hey, I’m Nick Rhodes, a systems integrator here at Rivas Technology Group. My days are pretty varied, which I love! One moment I might be setting up a robust WiFi network for an office or home, and the next I could be integrating a cool smart home system, extending its reach even to outdoor spaces with WiFi and audio.
Honestly, this isn’t just a job for me; it’s a passion that goes way back. I’ve been fascinated by computers and electronics since I was a kid, always taking things apart (and sometimes even putting them back together!). That early curiosity has really fueled what I do today.
When I manage to unplug from the tech world, you’ll probably find me lost in a good game or out enjoying the open road on my motorcycle. There’s something really freeing about both of those things. It’s great to be part of the Rivas Technology Group team, and I’m always up for a tech challenge!
Anacleto “AJ” Gomez
Systems Integrator
As a systems integrator, I get a real buzz out of crafting unique tech solutions that perfectly fit each client’s specific needs. I’m all about diving deep to understand what they’re looking for, and I genuinely enjoy using my creativity to design and implement technology that not only gets the job done but also gives them a truly exceptional and personalized experience.
When I step away from the tech world, you’ll often find me embracing my love for the outdoors. Camping, fishing, and even some off-roading in my truck are some of my favorite ways to unwind. There’s nothing I value more than spending quality time in nature’s beauty with my wife and our three kids. Disconnecting from our busy lives and reconnecting with the natural world is a real joy for me.
Beyond my passion for the outdoors, I’m also deeply committed to keeping my skills sharp in the ever-evolving IT and technology landscape. I dedicated two years to intensive study, earning certifications in both IT and cybersecurity. My professional journey also includes over six years as a lead Xfinity Home Security technician at Comcast, which gave me some fantastic hands-on experience.
On a more personal note, you might catch me enjoying my rather wide-ranging taste in music, which can jump from country and hard rock to blues, pop, and hip-hop! When it comes to movies, I’m a big fan of the Marvel and DC universes – they take me right back to my childhood love for comic books. I also have a soft spot for classics like Star Wars, Tombstone, and the Lethal Weapon trilogy. Right now, I’m really enjoying diving into the Cole and Hitch novel series.
