Why does a builder need a technology partner?
Because the technology conversation with a buyer happens too late, and whoever the buyer trusts absorbs the consequences. In a custom build that is the builder. It is the mid-build scramble when a client asks about cameras with the walls closed, the wrong box location, the undersized enclosure. It is the call six months after move-in because the Wi-Fi is slow. Detached ADUs and backyard cottages have their own page, smart home wiring for ADUs. How does it start?
Three steps, no paperwork.
- Start the conversation. Book a 20-minute call or send the form on this page. Tell us about your pipeline, one project or twenty. A project contact follows up within one business day.
- We scope your first project. Send the architectural drawings. We review them, produce a complete low-voltage infrastructure plan, and return a fixed-price proposal within three business days. There is no charge for the plan.
- We are on the job site. We coordinate with your trades, phase our work around your schedule, commission every system at punch list, and walk the buyer through the home.
How do we work on your build?
Four phases mapped to your milestones, the same on every job. Before permits we deliver the diagrams. At framing our own team pulls Cat6A, speaker wire, conduit and shade power, confirms every run before drywall, then terminates, labels and documents it. After paint we trim keypads, speakers, cameras, shades and access points.
Before keys we program Control4, activate Ajax and register it with the monitoring station, and configure the network. Then we hand the buyer a working home with a 90-day workmanship warranty running from the commissioning date. The systems we specify are the ones we support. Ajax security with MotionCam photo verification within 9 seconds (Ajax), Control4 as the control layer, and a wired network with an Island Router beneath it.
What does the builder never deal with again?
Technology support. At the final walkthrough the client gets our number. Post-move-in questions, upgrades and troubleshooting stay with Rivas Technology Group for the life of the home, at the rates on our pricing and policies page. The optional CURATOR remote care plan is there for homeowners who want the network watched. Your warranty team does not hear about the Wi-Fi.

No. There is no fee to work with us and no minimum volume. Bring us in on one build, or on every plan in your pipeline; the terms are the same either way.
What does a builder get?

How fast is the proposal?
Within three business days of receiving your architectural drawings for a typical custom home. Straightforward scopes come back sooner; multi-system estates may take longer, and we tell you when.
Who takes the homeowner's calls after move-in?
We do. At the final walkthrough the buyer gets our number and a documented system. Questions, upgrades and troubleshooting go to Rivas Technology Group for the life of the home, at published service rates.
Do you pull the low-voltage yourselves?
Yes. In homes our own team designs, roughs in, trims and programs the system. We coordinate box locations with your electrician and sequence around your framing and paint schedule.
Is there a builder portal?
It is in development: per-project file storage, pre-wire plan uploads, phase tracking, system documentation and messaging with our team. Builders we work with are notified at launch. Until then, plans and documents move by email and shared folders.
Do you work with remodelers?
